Chase is the fourth generation of leadership in the Anderson Companies and serves as the CEO of B.A.S.S., LLC (Bassmaster). As CEO at B.A.S.S., his primary focus is overseeing all operations of the 56-year-old organization founded in 1968 by Ray Scott. B.A.S.S. operates over 50 events annually within its various Bassmaster tournament series and also operates a fully integrated media property with its website Bassmaster.com, social media channels, print publications Bassmaster Magazine and B.A.S.S. Times and original TV programming via a partnership with FS1.

 

B.A.S.S. serves as a consistent leader and trailblazer within the world of sportfishing and is the largest media and promotional vehicle in the industry. B.A.S.S. owns its content and production assets and also functions as a membership organization, serving 500,000 members. Chase assumes all P&L and balance sheet oversight of the organization and works closely with the B.A.S.S. team to initiate and execute strategic initiatives. As B.A.S.S. serves as a leader in the fishing industry, with an emphasis on growing the sport of bass fishing alongside promoting youth fishing and conservation, Chase in turn leads B.A.S.S. with a focus on maintaining the integrity and values the organization was founded on. 

 

In addition, Chase serves on the Board of Directors of Anderson Companies: Anderson Media Corp, TNT Fireworks, Renew Co., LLC (Natural Healthy Concepts & OIAM), Anderson Merchandisers and the Mahogany Whataburger franchise. 

 

Chase has extensive international business and leadership experience. From 2006 to 2008, and again from 2010 to 2012, Chase led the Anderson Companies Hong Kong office (ANCO) where he managed a team of over 20 local Hong Kong associates in growing business with their international customers. In late 2012 he relocated to Dallas, Texas, to work with Anderson Merchandisers. After working for a few years in an operational management role, in 2017 Chase transitioned into his current role as Chief Executive Officer at B.A.S.S in Birmingham, Ala.

 

Chase holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and supply chain management from Auburn University. On January 2, 2009, he suffered a life-threatening stroke. He has since made a full recovery and strives to live a life of gratitude.

 

When Chase is not spending time with his family, he loves to be outdoors. Chase is an avid fisherman, a water sports enthusiast and feels most at home on the rivers and lakes in Alabama. He and his wife Ashley have two daughters, Scarlett Elizabeth and Anna Catherine.
